Event Detail
Chili Cook-off
Flaming hot, medium or mild? Our annual Chili Cook-off, sponsored by the MYF, will take place on Saturday, March 6th, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Anyone is welcome to enter a pot of chili in the cook-off. It will take place at the church, and your donations will support our youth group trip to the Mennonite Church USA Convention in Pittsburgh, PA. You might want to start practicing your chili recipe now. For those of you who haven't attended this event in the past, it is barrels of fun, as nearly a dozen members and friends compete to see how much you think their recipe is worth. The vote is by money and all the proceeds go to help get the youth to Convention. Instructions on entering your chili in the competition are posted on the wall in our kitchen. Not interested in cooking? You are welcome to come, vote for your favorite, and enjoy the food and the fellowship.
