Ways to Get Involved

The A/V ministry team supports worship at Koinonia by providing video and audio needed during worship services.

Responsibilities:

Before worship service:

• Turn on audio equipment and check mic setups and mic levels.

• Turn on laptop and projectors and get system ready to project song lyrics (when projection is needed).
• Turn on/off recorded CD music (as needed, for example, for prelude)

During worship service:

• Use the laptop to project song lyrics at the appropriate times in the service (when projection is needed).
• Monitor the audio sound in the A/V booth headphone and adjust mic levels as needed to avoid feedback or to make sure things are loud enough.
• Start and stop the audio recorder used to record the sermon.
• Start/stop any required DVD or VCR playback (as needed).

As time permits, it would also be helpful for A/V ministry team members to occasionally create new Powerpoint files for projecting lyrics for new songs.

Qualifications:

• Ability to arrive at least 15 minutes before worship service starts for setup.
• General familiarity with computers, although we will train on specifics of how to run the laptop and sound system.

We are trying to find 3-4 people willing to be on the A/V ministry team...that way, each person would only need to run the system in the worship service about once a month.

We are always looking for new ways to enhance our worship experience at Koinonia music!  If you play an instrument, we have opportunities every week to play before service as a prelude or during the service as offertory, or you can share your music as special music.
